Since there is a severe shortage of doctors, in particular speciality doctors, Galapagos ICE volunteers assist in the local hospitals and clinics. Volunteers work in the Puerto Ayora Hospital or other satellite clinics, providing much needed aid and expertise to the existing infrastructure.
